Creative Readers MS/HS

Creative Readers is starting a pilot program for middle and high school students who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The program will have participants actively engaging in activities to turn books into multi-sensory experiences offering all learners the ability to be challenged, motivated and successful. After hearing chapters from a book, participants will create and act out scenes, create props, do improvisation and other theater games, learn acting and voice techniques, and just have fun!

Cricut Craft: Gift Giving Part 1

Learn how to optimize the Cricut to design presents and gifts. The class is divided into two parts.

Please take some time to install the Cricut Design Space software before the program, https://design.cricut.com/#/. All supplies will be provided.

Anyone 8 and up is welcome, but we do ask that participants under the age of 11 be accompanied by an adult. Priority will be given to Port Washington card holders. If you are not a Port Washington card holder, you will initially be placed on a Waiting List pending available space. Any available spaces will be filled from the Wait List 72 hours prior to the start of the class. Registration begins November 25th.

Please note: Chromebooks are not compatible with the Cricut Design Space software, so will not work for this program. Laptops (both Mac and PC) and iPads work well.
