How to Place and Cancel Online Reserves - Text Only

To place an online reserve:

The library's web address is www.pwpl.org. Point the cursor to "Library Catalog/My Library Account." Click on "Library Catalog."

1. Search the library catalog for the specific item you wish to reserve (request).

2. Click the "Request" button for the item.

3. "Request Verification" will appear - Enter your name, 14 digit library barcode number, and PIN number (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number).

4. Click the "Submit" button. If you do not click on it, your request will not be submitted.

5. The next screen should say: "Your request was successful." (If this is the first time you have placed an online reserve you may be asked to verify your pin number twice before your request is acknowledged as successful.)

6. When you are finished reserving, logout of your account by clicking the "Home" "Start Over" or "New Search" button. The "Regular Display" button will bring you back to the item record.

To cancel requests (holds)
Once you are in your account and have selected the link for the "Requests (holds) outstanding."

1. Check the "Cancel" box to the left of the item(s) you wish to cancel.

2. Click the "Cancel Selected" or "Cancel All" button at the top of the list.

3. When you are finished canceling, log out of your account by clicking the "Home" or "Logout" button. This will bring you back to the main search screen. Clicking the "New Search" or "Search Catalog" button will allow you to continue searching the catalog. To return to your account simply click on the "Patron Record" button
