Review:
This book is about 13-year-old Toby, an avid baseball lover and card collector. His parents got divorced and his older brother, Jake, has gotten into drugs and alcohol. His mother is hurt enough, so Toby tries to cover up for his brother. However, Toby has his own problems. He still can't decide if the feelings he's been feeling about a girl in one of his classes is more than just a friend to him, plus he has prematurely gray hair. What will Toby do?
Opinion :
This book was just ok. I felt it was a little under my reading level, and the ending wasn't so good. The storyline was good, but the author didn't write it so well. It was ok.

Review:
My Sister's Keeper is a heart-wrenching novel that is sure to grab your attention. Kate, one sister, has lived with APL, a type of leukemia since she was 2 years old. Her sister, Anna, was conceived so that she would be a genetic match for Kate, and therefore serve as a donor. However, after 13 years of hospital visits and operations, Anna makes a decision that tears her family apart and may even have fatal consequences for her sister. This story is told in different points of views from different characters in the novel, and therefore makes it much more interesting.
Opinion :
This book was amazing. There were no dead spots and if you have a sister that you are close with you should definitely read it. It is catching, happy, sad and the ending is shocking and so surprising. I highly recommend it!

Review:
This book was about a girl named Isabella, bella for short, who moves to a small town called Forks in Washington to live with her father. She meets a boy at school who at first seemes repelled by her, but then she discoveres he is a vampire. Don't worry, though, he is a good vampire who has vowed not to drink the blood of humans. As Bella starts to spend more and more time with Edward, she discovers the dangers of vampires, and that not all of them are good.
Opinion :
I think this book was great. It was well written, you always wanted to know what was happening next, and you'll want to rush to the store to buy the sequel when you are done.

Go Ask Alice by Anonymous
Rating: Loved it
Review: The book was about a 15-year-old named Alice. She was your average high school until she was introduced to drugs. She became addicted. She met many people during this book, including a boy named Chris. They ran away together, and determined to stop using drugs. But it started again. Alice ends up going to a mental hospital because she had a bad trip and thought there were worms crawling all over her. In the end, she dies, but it is unknown why. I would definitely recommend this book because it takes you into the world of a drug user. Anyone who reads this book would probably be turned off to drugs right away. It is just a shame that Alice had to learn the hard way. The best part of this book was when Alice was taken out of the mental hospital. She came home and started trying to go back to normal. I thought the book would have a happy ending, but with drugs it can never end well. Alice died only three weeks after being taken home.

Rhymes with Witches by Lauren Myracle
Rating: Okay
Review: Jane is a freshman in high school who is basically invisible. She is friends with a girl named Alicia, and they mostly do things on their own. A group of girls called the *itches are the most popular kids in school and everyone worships them. Every year, they pick a new freshman to be their fourth *itch. Jane is the lucky one, but why? She soon learns that the *itches are not what they seem. Jane is not sure she has wants to pay the price of becoming a *itch. The ending of the book was absolutely horrible. It left a lot of things unsaid and was kind of like a cliff hanger. I was not pleased with the ending. I would not recommend this book because it sure wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. There are much better books about high school popularity out there if you are interested in that. The best part of the book was when Jane and Camilla snuck into Lurl's office. It was very suspenseful because her room was filled with strange and scary things.
