SUMMER TEEN WORKSHOPS: In person registration ongoing in Teenspace unless otherwise noted. These workshops are open to P.W. teens (entering grades 7-12) as of September 2010. Notification of withdrawal must be given at least five days before the workshop begins in order for refunds to be made. Program fees are non-transferable. All teen summer programs are co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Teen Books on the Terrace: Summer Discussion Series
Wednesdays (grades 7-12), July 7 & 28 August 18 at 7:00 P.M.
To take advantage of the beautiful summer weather, the book group will meet on the library’s terrace (weather permitting). The first book will be available, for pick-up at time of registration. Refreshments will be served. Register in-person or by calling TeenSpace at 883-4400, Ext. 148. FREE

Pop Art Collage Workshop
Join us for a unique collage workshop with artist Michael Albert as he demonstrates this unique art form using cereal boxes and other cardboard materials to create one of a kind posters. Be sure to visit our Community Gallery to see samples of Michael’s work. In addition, the library will provide space for teens who wish to display their collages produced in the workshop. In-person registration. Workshop fee: $5.

Button Boards: Lost Art Found
Recycle loose buttons and fabric scraps to display photos, notes and artwork brilliantly! Create a theme to match your décor or choose a fun summer theme. Both beautiful and functional! In-person registration. Workshop fee: $5.

Cool Corksters and Painted Glass
Personalize your own photo-coasters made of cork. “Corksters!” Bring your favorite photos or choose from our fabulous supply of pictures. Then paint your own summer drinking glass and relax with a cool drink. In-person registration. Workshop fee: $5.

Wok and Roll
Savor the flavors of Asian cuisine by creating a classic stir-fry and vegetable spring rolls. In-person registration. Workshop fee: $5.
