Summer Programs for Teens
Teen Events: In-person registration begins on June 19, in Teenspace. Programs are open to Port Washington teens entering grades 7-12 as of September 2013. Notification of withdrawal must be given at least five business days before the program date in order for refunds to be made. Program fees are non-transferable. Welcome Wednesdays! QR Code Challenge
Calling all incoming 7th graders. Learn about TeenSpace and all the resources available to you at the library. This scavenger hunt will challenge you to scan QR codes in the library to reveal clues. To play, bring your smart phone to TeenSpace or borrow one of ours. Free!

Teens are invited to play against each other and test their skills in this exciting gaming event. Various genres of games and systems will be available to play. Presented by 2x-Treme. Tournament fee $5.

Bow Wow Biscuit Bake
The Baking Coach will lead this workshop to benefit shelter dogs, and community service credit will be awarded. Workshop fee $5.

Stop Motion Animation
Learn how to create hands on animation with pose able figures, digital cameras and movie lights with the Long Island Motion Picture Arts Center and Museum. Workshop fee $5.

Learn how to make tasty Mexican inspired snacks with Chef Frank. Workshop fee $5.

Decorate your one of a kind cupcake and compete against your peers to become the ultimate cupcake champion with instructor Allison Paulo. Workshop fee $5.

Build Your Own Video Game
The Game Builders Academy will show you how to make your own game using their Game Maker Software. Workshop fee $5.

Zumba combines Latin rhythms with easy to follow dance moves to create a total workout. Instructor, Diane Phillips will show you how. Workshop fee: $5.
Thursday, August 8 at 7 p.m.
A forensic Workshop with Hands on Science. Teams dig through bones and are challenged to hypothesize about the origin, types and name the different bones. Workshop fee $5.
