Read magazines online using your web browser or download through the mobile app.  Set-up an account by entering your PWPL Library card number, email address and creating a password.

    Consumer Reports.org offers product ratings, reviews and recommendations for thousands of products and services.  Subjects include appliances, cars, food, health, home, kids, money and much more.  Easy to use comprehensive A to Z Index of Reports. Complete full-text access to print issues from 2009- present.

    This resources enables users to make better purchasing decisions by providing current buying advice and money saving tips on the products you are shopping for today.

  • HOOPLA

    Stream music, movies, TV shows, e-books, audiobooks and digital comics. To sign up, visit hoopladigital.com or download the hoopla app from your app store, enter your PWPL card number and create an account. To check out an item, just click “borrow.” There are no hold lists. On mobile devices, audio and video content can be downloaded for offline use. Each cardholder can check out five hoopla items per month; this limit will reset at the beginning of the month.

    Learn 80 languages with Pronunciator. Course levels range from Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced and include options for Early Learners (3-6 yrs) or Young Learners (7-12 yrs).  There is also an 8-week Travel Prep plan. Each language course has on average 9,600 instructional phrases, and two years of guided instruction.

    In addition, Pronunciator offers one the largest ESOL curricula available, with courses taught in 50 non-English languages.  Provides access to U.S. Citizenship Exam preparation courses, which can be taken in Spanish. Mobile app available for iOS, Androids and Kindle Fire.

    The New York State Archives partnered with Ancestry.com to digitize some NY State records of interest to genealogists.  Resources include census data, military records,  marriage documents, naturalization papers, etc. Free access to Ancestry.com / New York is available to all New York State residents. To begin, enter your zip code and create a free Ancestry.com / New York account. Please visit the Library to search the complete Federal and National collection of Ancestry.com resources.
