This is a view-only on-line exhibit site, which is divided into seven major parts and numerous sub-categories. Use the contents link on the top navigation bar to view descriptions of each section.

Site Navigation:

To navigate this site use the categories on the left side of the screen. Images and Scrapbook contain different sub-categories which can also be directly accessed from the left-hand menu. At any time, you can return to the main page by clicking Home on the top bar.

Image Galleries:

The image galleries contain photographs and visuals that can be enlarged by clicking on the small thumbnails in each category (e.g. On Location).

After clicking on an image you see the following navigation bar which allows you to cycle through all the images in a specific category:

The button functions are the following:

[First]First image in category
[Prev]Previous image
[Index]Index for category
[Next]Next image
[Last]Final image in category

Scrapbook:

The images contained in the scrapbook can be enlarged by clicking on the small thumbnails in each category (e.g. Newspapers).

Printing:

To print, use your browser's print button. Remember to use your browser's print preview feature before printing.

Images do not print larger than they appear on screen.

Certain images, such as maps, are oversized, and may not fit on a normal size sheet of paper.

Audio and Video:

The movies and audio segments are encoded in the Windows Media Format and require Windows Media Player to run. Many computers already have the player installed with their browser, but if it is not installed or avaliable, click here to download and install it.

To play the movies, click on the title and wait for the movie to load. These are streaming videos and may take some time to load based on your connection. A cable or DSL connection is recommended for viewing the videos.

Book and PDF files:

The book is in Adobe PDF format and requires that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer in order to view the file. To get a free copy of Acrobat Reader, please visit the Adobe Acrobat web site and download the free software viewer.

When viewing the book with Acrobat reader the recommended magnification is 100-125%. To change the magnification, click on the plus and minus signs on the bar right above the book image. Scroll down to see entire book.
