An 8 week intensive workshop series designed to help participants obtain employment through networking

Thursday, March 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5, 12, 19, 26


9:30 am to 12:30 pm

  Job Search Boot Camp is a commitment.

Anyone registering for boot camp is expected to attend all 8 sessions.

Failure to do so may result in being dropped from the class.

Learn to conduct an effective job search, use LinkedIn and other social media, develop job objectives and time management skills, form a personal brand and elevator pitch, create an effective resume and cover letter, and build a network.


Participants will be…

Motivated  to conduct an effective job search

Instructed  on using LinkedIn and other forms of social media

Guided  towards time management and developing job objectives

Assisted  with their personal brand and elevator pitch to build their profile

Given  resume and cover letter advice

Advised  about building an effective network to find a job in today’s



Job Search Boot Camp will be presented by Maria Themistocleous-Frey, President and Founder of Executive Consultants of New York, a business that specializes in career coaching and professional development.


This program is hosted by the Port Washington Public Library and funded by a special legislative grant received by former Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel.
