Google Webmaster Tools is a free online service from Google that helps you manage your website or blog, or those of your clients.  Participants will learn how Google views a particular website and how its performance can be optimized in search results.

Getting Started with Webmaster Tools:

  • Set-up a Webmaster Tools account
  • Refine personal and site settings
  • Manage the sitemap
  • Use Webmaster Tools reports

Webmaster Tools How To:

  • Submit and check a sitemap
  • Check the crawl rate
  • Discover pages that are blocked
  • Get a list of internal and external pages that link to a site
  • Get a list of broken links for a site
  • See what keyword searches on Google have led to a site
  • View statistics about how Google indexes a website, and if it found any errors
  • Highlight elements of structured data to Google search elements
