The Library serves the Port Washington School District and is funded primarily by local taxes levied on real estate. There is no charge for school district residents to join. Because we are a member of the Nassau Library System, your library card entitles you to borrow materials from any public library in Nassau County. Materials borrowed elsewhere may be returned here.
The Library's 2006 Strategic Plan outlines our goals for the next 5 years.
