Councilwoman De Giorgio visits to discuss Children’s Library plans

Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio met recently with members of the Library Foundation and Library Director Nancy Curtin to discuss the Children’s Library renovation.

The Port Washington Public Library has submitted plans to New York State for approval. The revitalized Room will boast a dynamic redesign, new and innovative technology, and dedicated spaces to learn, explore, imagine, and play. Current trends in educational philosophies and programming have been incorporated into the new design.

“The Children’s Room is a catalyst for the love of learning and exploration where lifelong relationships with the Library begin. This is the most important project we have yet to undertake,” said Curtin.
