About Planned Gifts and Bequests

We encourage our supporters to consider naming the library in their will. Writing a bequest is the simplest way to do this. Any gift your estate might provide would add to the library’s endowment fund and provide lasting benefit to the library and the community.

Sample bequest language is as follows:

“I devise and bequeath to PORT WASHINGTON LIBRARY FOUNDATION, a nonprofit corporation whose address is One Library Drive, Port Washington, NY 11050, the sum of $__________ [or _______ percent of my residuary estate] for its general uses and purposes.”
