Paperback Book Swap
The return of the popular Paperback Book Swap, Saturday, October 19, 2013, 1-4 p.m. Bring your adult, teen and children’s paperbacks – good condition only! – to the library’s meeting room for a free, friendly swap. (Note that we will accept hardcover children’s books including board books.) No more than 20 books per person can be donated. Books are not accepted in advance and we stop accepting books at the event at 3:30. Browsers welcome!

FOL University
The Friends of the Library’s “FOL University” lecture program will resume Sunday, November 17, 2013, 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the Lapham Room. We are proud to announce that one of our most popular lecturers, Dr. Orin Grossman of Fairfield University, will return to discuss the Gershwins’ “Porgy and Bess.” Dr. Grossman, an accomplished pianist, also will perform.
