In Wise and Jerome Robbins’s “Romeo and Juliet” update, the love between Tony (Richard Beymer) and Maria (Natalie Wood) sparks a rumble between Manhattan street gangs the Jets and the Sharks. Ernest Lehman scripted, Leonard Bernstein composed the score and Stephen Sondheim penned the lyrics. Note the early start time: 7 p.m.

He literally bumps into lovely Amélie (Maude Wyler),  and pursues a connection. Meanwhile, Arman’s best friend Benjamin (Bastien Bouillon) suffers an unexpected stroke, relegating him to the hospital, where he falls for his doting young therapist Katia (Audrey Bastien). Sebastien Betbeder scripted and directed. Also, writer/director Sean Ellis’s short, Voyage d’Affaires (The Business Trip) (2008-10 min.). Both films are subtitled.
