SANDWICHED IN: Mayan Adventure. Although archaeologists have been studying the Ancient Maya since the late 19th century, recent technological advances and breakthroughs in deciphering Maya hieroglyphs have changed our perspective on the evolution of this civilization. Ken Seligson will provide an overview of Maya archaeology and the most recent information about the Ancient Maya civilization. Ken graduated from Schreiber High School in 2004 received his BA in history and anthropology from Brown University. He is currently at work on his doctoral dissertation on Ancient Maya lime plaster production in Yucatán, Mexico. 12:10 p.m.
