NEW YORK CLASSIC FILM CLUB: Dan Pompa selects influential films and invites speakers who have been directly affected by these movies, or who have relatives or friends who witnessed the making of these films. They will offer a unique perspective during the after-screening discussion. Today’s selection will be Fritz Lang’s Man Hunt (1941-102 min.). Screenwriter Dudley Nichols adapted Geoffrey Household’s novel about big-game hunter Alan Thorndike (Walter Pidgeon), who sets his sights on the biggest prize of all — Adolf Hitler! Co-stars include Joan Bennett, George Sanders, John Carradine and Roddy McDowall. Coffee and pastries will be served.
