WORLD FILM FESTIVAL: A French Double Feature. C’Est la Vie (That’s Life) (1990-98 min.) follows the misadventures of 13-year-old Frédérique (Julie Bataille) and her 8-year-old sister Sophie (Candice Lefranc) during the summer of 1958. Director Diane Kurys scripted with Alain Le Henry. After a brief intermission, Girl on the Bridge (La Fille sur le Pont) (2000-91 min.) looks at the relationship between suicidal waif Adèle (Vanessa Paradis) and carnival knife thrower Gabor (Daniel Auteuil). Serge Frydman scripted for director Patrice Leconte. Both films are in French with English subtitles. 1:30 p.m.
