SANDWICHED IN: Prague: Arts & Architecture. Although the city of Prague dates back to the 11th century, Jessica Ley’s program will focus on the period between 1895 and today. Beginning at the end of the Gilded Age, the borders of this ancient center city began to expand. Architecture in the new areas reflected the art of the Czech artist Alphonse Mucha and were exuberantly Art Nouveau in style. We’ll also explore some of what you can expect to see and buy when you visit this phenomenally beautiful city. 12.10 p.m.
